Is Your Ring Too Tight or Too Loose?
Rings are meant to fit comfortably — not too snug, not sliding off. Over time, weight changes, temperature, and natural aging can all affect how a ring fits. Here's how to tell if it's time for a resize.
Signs Your Ring Is Too Small
- It leaves a deep indentation or red mark on your finger
- You struggle to get it on or off
- Your finger swells or turns blue around the ring
- It feels uncomfortable after wearing it for a short time
Signs Your Ring Is Too Large
- It spins freely around your finger
- It slides off easily, especially in cold weather
- You're constantly repositioning it throughout the day
- You're worried about losing it
The Simple Home Test
A properly fitting ring should slide over your knuckle with slight resistance and sit snugly at the base of your finger without cutting off circulation. If yours doesn't pass this test, it's time for a resize.
Can All Rings Be Resized?
Most rings can be resized, but some materials and styles have limitations. Rings with stones set all the way around (eternity bands), titanium rings, and some tungsten rings can be more challenging. Bring it in and we'll assess it for you at no charge.
